Because some opponents in higher tier dungeons have health regen affix. You will most likely have to use reaper skeletons for 1v1 - 1v2 situations if you don't want to struggle at the higher levels. The higher the number goes the faster enemies disappear for Black River. 1v4s it's not a competition once it goes pass 4. 1v3s is a toss up on time to kill between 1h and 2h it could go either way depending on how fast you get your 5 corpses to go off. Meaning the raw damage difference between your 1h and 2h scythe is very noticeable and would have you think that 2h is better than the 1h Black River.Ģh is only better without reaper skeletons in 1v1s and 1v2s. It's hard to maintain a 5 corpse uptime in a 1v1 - 1v2 without reaper skeletons. 2h weapons only outclass it in single corpse explosion damage which only matters when engaged in PVE 1v1s - 1v2s without utilizing reaper skeletons.
